If you look back in history it's a common double standard society
The guy gets all the glory for the more he can score
While the girl can do the same yet you call her a whore

Here's something I just can't understand
If the guy have three girls then he's the man
He can even give her some head, or sex her off
But if a girl do the same, she's a whore?

Clearly the tables need to be turn.
Lala is back in her turf.

Reflection Journal 101: Language

Language and word is very powerful and persuasive tool in our world of trade. We communicate to trade information to one another. So how do we come to understand and appreciate other's cultures? Through the beauty of language of course.

The reason why racial harmony can be seen in Singapore especially, because of the effective usage of right language and words that most of us has come to practice.
The reason why we are encourage to use proper sentence and language to interact from young because starting early will mean that our portal of development are
shaping well and fast. Most importantly, by the correct way.

Becoming aware of something via the senses is what we understand by the term of perception. Applying this, I agree that I do feel that language has played a part in shaping our perception on ourselves. However, it doesn't just stop there. Language revolves around us and it does
shape our perception about almost everything in our surrounding.

It is through language that we make sense of the world, to decipher what is true and vital, how we think and feel about our experiences towards others and ourselves.
Words enable us to learn, teach, and write an email or letter to a friend far away or simply just reading the news. Language is rich and has never restricted us from exploring further. It allows us to communicate with one another, discussing work in our teams and make choices
from it.

The most powerful ability of language is to understand
and effectively communicate. Being able to clearly
communicate ideas to each other allows empowerment and
the ability to be open to new thoughts and opinions.
Language can be pretty influential too because by just
being aware of the messages that are happening around
us, be it media or SMSes, it makes a difference and
changes our perceptions towards it. Most importantly,
being aware of how we are talking to ourselves can
change how we feel hence shape our perception on
ourselves too.

When we begin to appreciate the beauty of language and
its diversity, we will shift our mind frame into a
better set of critical thinking. Not only has we
understood our surroundings, our confidence will boost
and so is our awareness on ourselves. From what I’ve
seen in one of my research earlier in class, language
shaped the ways we reason and interpret information
similarly they could shape the nuts and bolts of
perception, the way we actually see the world.

Thus, which is why I agree that language do played a
part in shaping our perception on ourselves. However, we
must know that language alone isn’t the reason behind
our perception but things such as cognitive and culture
do too shape our understanding not only to ourselves but
others too.
